The writing of a Latvian schoolboy
Often young people ask questions about how to live, the meaning of life and others like that. At first glance, it may seem that this is really some of the most difficult choices of each person or a controversial question. However, as the name implies, one can turn to science for the solution of this question, and the name of this science is Marxism-Leninism. But first things first.
To begin with, we should recall the conditions in which most of us live. At the moment, our society is at the imperialist stage of development of capitalism. This means that most citizens live from paycheck to paycheck, in fear of dismissal and in disgusting conditions – i. e choosing the selfish purpose of life – to earn money, to buy and move into a big house, to find a good friend of life and live free, raise good children – people doom themselves to eternal suffering, because these goals are basically unattainable. Of course, there are exceptions, for example, monopolist families in which there are mountains of money and which the so-called. “happiness”. But even to these people in one day can knock on the door and politely ask to return the loot from the workers.
However, people’s lives, of course, will not always be like that. The injustices of the exploiting formations began to be noticed by the Utopian socialist almost immediately, as they appeared. They offered a variety of models of society in which people would supposedly be happy. However, social matter is not and cannot be the result of someone’s invention – on the contrary, it develops according to its objective laws. Some Utopian socialists have come up with a lot of interesting things, imagining a future fair society. But they did not indicate the ways to achieve this society. Scientific socialism points to the class that will lead humanity to a classless society. All the suffering of mankind was necessary to achieve a certain level of development of productive forces. The capitalism of our days has already done everything that was supposed to be done, and nowadays scientific and technological progress is already hindering it, more and more coming into conflict with society and the social nature of production. Summarizing all the knowledge of mankind accumulated before them and developing them, this was proved by Marx, Engels, Lenin and other Marxists.
The objective economic interest of every worker, and with it the laborer, is the free, comprehensive development of himself and his family members. This goal is achievable only in a society in which all class differences are completely destroyed. So it turns out that the working people need to live fighting for their objective interests. It can also be noted that devoting his life to the struggle, a person will never be unhappy, despite any difficulties or failures.
What do you do if you’re a monopolist or not yet a bankrupt petty bourgeois or an intellectual? To realize that if you endlessly pursue your economic interest in robbing others, you will eventually destroy the workers and die by yourself. Take up the position of the working class and help it in its struggle, for it is your world historical task to illuminate the way for the working class. The struggle for workers’ interests ultimately covers the entire society, including you. So class affiliation should not interfere with your struggle. As K. Marx and F. Engels wrote in the “Communist Party Manifesto”, “In place of the old bourgeois society, with its classes and class antagonisms, we shall have an association, in which the free development of each is the condition for the free development of all.”
Fight for your interests if you are a worker, serve the working class if you are an intellectual or a bourgeois; become the bearer of proletarian morality – the moral of the future. Where to begin? From studying the works of the classics, who will show you the way.
Workers of the world, unite!
